Despite making headlines with his decades-long career, DJ Black Coffee has had his fair share of headlines. DJ Black Coffee’s failed marriage to Enhle Mbali often tops the trends, with their divorce case still before the courts since their 2019 fallout.

DJ Black Coffee often trend thanks to his huge social media following, and his love life is always in the spotlight. No doubt, in several incidents, he has been forced to address some of the rumours and reports.

DJ BLACK COFFEE’S FAILED MARRIAGE AND CHEATING ALLEGATIONS

Against the backdrop of these trends, the publication has since connected the dots on his failed marriage and love life, which often make headlines.

DJ Black Coffee tied the knot with actress, TV presenter and model Enhle Mbali in 2011 in a traditional wedding. The two later had a white wedding in 2017.

However, the two called it quits in 2019. Their marriage was marred by cheating allegations.

A few years into their marriage, in 2014, the DJ was accused of infidelity with a local model. The model, who was believed to be from the Free State, demanded R160 000 from the DJ so that she wouldn’t leak their intimate tape.

In August 2018, DJ Black Coffee admitted to the alleged affair and made it known that it was a result of ‘being young and overwhelmed by fame.’

However, in June 2019, a damning rumour linking the DJ to Cathy Guetta flooded the internet. Against the rumours, Enhle Mbali deleted all pictures of Black Coffee from her social media feeds.

The DJ later took to social media to downplay the allegations. In July 2019, the couple separated and initiated proceedings for their divorce, which have been before the court to date.

The protracted legal dispute between the two will continue this year as the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) agreed to review part of their case after the DJ obtained leave to appeal an earlier High Court decision.

The Gauteng High Court had ruled in favour of Enhle Mbali. It ruled that their 2011 customary marriage was valid and in the community of property.

Their 2017 civil marriage was ruled void, and DJ Black Coffee was ordered to pay spousal maintenance.

WHO IS THE DJ’S NEW GIRLFRIEND?

The 50-year-old star has been dating Victoria Gonzalez from Venezuela since 2019. They met when they were dining, and at that time, the 29-year-old model didn’t know that DJ Black Coffee was a global star.

Years later, their relationship went official against the backdrop of DJ Black Coffee’s near-fatal accident en route to Argentina, where he was scheduled to perform in 2024.

However, little is known about whether the two will tie the knot, since the DJ once mentioned that he won’t be getting married again.

In 2023, in a sit-and-tell interview with Podcast and Chill with MacG, the celebrated DJ said, “I won’t get married again. I’m clear about that. I am now in a better space in understanding who I am. I also understand the pressure society puts you in, without ever backing you up.”

A year later, Black Coffee spoke to Kaya FM, seemingly doing a U-turn. During the interview, he said, “There are things we wish for people, and there are things they wish for themselves. And we make the mistake of imposing our wishes on them.

“I want to try marriage again just to understand it.”
